STEM Exploration Night Draws 3,600+ in Attendance
On Thursday, March 14, Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) hosted the seventh annual STEM Exploration Night, attracting a record-breaking crowd of over 3,600. Scholars and families enjoyed STEM booths and special attractions including workshops, demonstrations, and more.

Sunnycrest Elementary, home of the Roadrunners, is located in Kent’s West Hill & Midway neighborhood, and serves scholars in grades K-5. As a dual language school, half of our classes in every grade offer Spanish Dual Language. In an environment of high expectations, high support, and no excuses, the staff of Sunnycrest Elementary School will continually learn, lead, utilize data, and collaborate to ensure our scholars have a voice, a dream, and a bright future. Scholars also benefit from an array of school activities, diverse clubs, and strong family, PTA, and community partnerships.

On Monday, August 19, Federal Way Public Schools hosted its fifth annual New to FWPS Breakfast at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center, warmly welcoming over 140 new certificated staff members to the district.
